I shot this while travelling through the Yucatan Peninsula on my way to witness the spring equinox at Chichen Itza. There is a Mayan pyramid, that on this day every year a serpent in light and shadow will come down from the top of the pyramid and fertilize the earth and then retreat back up as the equinox sun sets.
